Covid Update

Greetings everyone, As we all know the CDC and NYS have changed the rules regarding masks and social distancing. We have been waiting for guidance from the town as required since we use their fields. I am happy to say we received some good news today, May 20th. Starting immediately, all fully vaccinated individuals will not be required to wear masks at the field. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated must continue to wear a mask. According to the CDC you are considered to be fully vaccinated: 1. 2 weeks after your second dose in a 2 dose series (Pfizer, Moderna) 2. 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson)Since they just opened up the vaccine to 12-15 year olds, children in that age group will not be fully vaccinated for some time. Mask rules remain in place until such time that they are fully vaccinated. So in a nutshell, children and adults who are not fully vaccinated must still wear masks. Seeing as how not everyone has been fully vaccinated, we should still continue with social distancing as best we can. If anything else changes, we will communicate it to the league.
